Welcome to Bentonville—we’re so glad you’re here!
At Visit Bentonville, we’re thrilled to host you for this year’s Youth Hunting National Education Challenge. Arkansas is a proud supporter of hunters and sportsmen of all ages, and as the Natural State, we’re home to thousands of acres of public land just waiting to be explored. Whether you're here to compete, hike, bike, or just enjoy the outdoors, we hope you feel right at home. Use this blog as your go-to guide for everything you’ll need during your stay!
Ammo & Last Minute Supplies
As you may know, Bentonville is home to Walmart, and our local Walmart Supercenter offers a wide selection of ammunition, cleaning supplies, and accessories you might need at the last minute. Located at 406 S. Walton Blvd, it's open daily from 6 am to 11 pm.
While you're there, be sure to check out the Peel Museum & Botanical Garden, located in the same parking lot. This 19th-century home was preserved thanks to Helen Walton, wife of Sam Walton, and offers a great look into the history of our area.
The Peel Museum & Botanical Gardens is a beautiful Civil War era home that is available for tours as well as events. This villa tower Italianate mansion was…
Take Aim at These Ranges
Just a few miles from downtown Bentonville, inside Osage Park, you’ll find The Quiver Archery Range. This 70-meter outdoor facility features 20 lanes available for rental. It’s family-friendly, beginner-friendly, and offers a variety of target styles and distances. Instructors are also available if you're new to archery.
We highly recommend checking out the indoor ranges at Ozark Sportsman in Springdale and NWA Tactical & Range in nearby Rogers. Both offer great facilities and a friendly, welcoming community. If you’ve never experienced the Ozarks, check out Hobbs State Park; their outdoor range shows off the beauty of our region.
Parks for the Whole Family, Fido Included
We know a family trip isn’t complete without your loyal pup, and in Bentonville, that’s no problem. With plenty of leash parks, beautifully maintained by Bentonville Parks and Rec, your four-legged friend is always welcome!
Osage Dog Park: This spacious and well-maintained park is located directly next to the Quiver.
🦆 Pro Tip: Osage Park is a nature lover's paradise. Bring the binoculars, and practice your skills identifying song birds, water fowl, beavers, and otters!
Bark Park: Located just off the North Bentonville Trail, this is the perfect spot to let your dog run and play off-leash. From there, head a few hundred feet north to explore the Slaughter Pen trail system. Just remember to keep your dog on a leash outside the dog park—these trails are popular with cyclists!
🎨 Pro Tip: You’ll see plenty of artwork along the trails here. Explore our Public Art Map to learn more about each piece you run into!
