Can’t-miss holiday pop-up inside the Undercroft is open now through December 31.

Miracle on 2nd Street has transformed Undercroft into the perfect intimate holiday night out experience. Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by thousands of glimmering lights, upside-down Christmas trees, and festive tunes.

This is the festive pop-up’s fourth year at Undercroft, a bar in the basement of The Preacher’s Son with speakeasy vibes. This unique experience offers a craft cocktail menu and a festive ambiance sure to get you into the holiday spirit.

Miracle at Undercroft drinks

From left to right: Snowball Old Fashioned, Marshmallows & Unicorns, Christmapolitan, Elfing Around #2, and Mulled Wine.

The menu is packed with delicious options! Guests may choose their drink based either on the cocktail profile or the special cup designs. The most popular drinks are the Christmapolitan, a festive take on the classic Cosmopolitan, and Rudolph’s Replacement, a cross between a White Russian and Espresso Martini served in a T-Rex mug. Other popular options include The Krampus—tequila, sherry, allspice dram, mezcal, ginger, hibiscus, lime, and hellfire bitters served in a Krampus mug—and Yippie Ki Yay, a rum cocktail served in a mug that looks like Santa’s pants. In total, the menu includes 13 seasonal cocktails and two shots.

Year-round, Undercroft serves craft cocktails alongside the state's most refined wine and bourbon selection. Additionally, guests can order light snacks from the menu—samples of the culinary team’s output from the restaurant above, The Preacher’s Son.

Miracle at Undercroft Inside
Although typically known for fine dining,  the restaurant and bar staff enjoy seeing guests’ reactions to the holiday color, said Ben Elstein, division operations manager at Ropeswing Hospitality Group.

"Besides celebrating the season with fun decor and goofy—but tasty—drinks, the promotion also benefits the Seva Foundation, a global nonprofit eye care organization,” said Elstein.

Miracle donates 10 percent of all proceeds from retail sales of the Santa Pants, Christmas Carol Barrel, and Santa’s Head mugs to Seva at the end of the season.

After the holidays, Undercroft and The Preacher’s Son are slated to get new updates to the lounge area and rooftop patio, said Elstien.
