A & P Commission

The Advertising and Promotion Commission is the governing body of Visit Bentonville.

The A&P Commission is made up of seven commissioners: two from the hotel industry, two from the restaurant industry, two city council members, and one at large position. Commissioners must live in Bentonville, be an eligible voter in Bentonville, and meet additional qualifications for the specific position i.e. hotelier, restaurateur, city council member. All commissioners must be approved by the City Council.  The A&P Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of each month to review financial reports (including tax collections and delinquent accounts), Visit Bentonville operations, and tourism funding requests when applicable.

*City Council representatives are appointed by the Mayor and may serve indefinitely unless removed from the commission for failure to execute duties or from the City Council in an election.

The Bentonville Advertising and Promotion Commission (A&P Commission) serves as the governing body for Visit Bentonville. This volunteer board is composed of seven members, including:

·       Two elected officials from the City of Bentonville,

·       Four business owners or managers within Bentonville’s hospitality industry, and

·       One at-large representative.

Applications will open in September 2025 for the upcoming hospitality industry seat representing restaurants and prepared food establishments, with the term beginning in January 2026.

To be eligible, applicants must:

·       Be a resident of Bentonville, and

·       Be willing to commit to a four-year term of service.
