Compton Gardens and Conference Center is the home of Dr. Neil Compton, physician and naturalist, who is credited as the savior of the Buffalo National River. The 6.5 acre park features the conference center which is available for meetings, seminars, retreats, weddings, etc. and the native woodland garden is quickly becoming a regional destination and is available for tours and events as well as film and commercial photo shoots. Compton Gardens' trail through our native gardens area is open to the public daily from dawn until dusk. The trails are approximately 1/2 mile in total length.
