Art Fair Opening Celebration + Weekend

October 4-6
Kick off the inaugural Crystal Bridges Art Fair with a night out of art, music, and celebration starting at 7 pm!
 
As part of our weekend-long celebration of American craft and creativity, come meet artists from across the USA and browse an outdoor showcase of their works as you dine, sip, and shop on the museum grounds. Live music, craft brews, and small bites will be available, along with meet-and-greets for your favorite artists.
 
Don’t miss your chance to get to know the people behind the artworks that move you—or to take some of those works home before the weekend crowds hit!
 
Tickets to the Opening Celebration are $65 ($52 for members), reserve your spot online or with Guest Experience at (479) 657-2335 today. Ticket includes food and craft spritzer. Must be 21+ years of age to purchase or consume alcohol.
 
The Art Fair happening October 5 through 6 is Free, no ticket required.

2024 Here's Johnny 10k

October 5
Prepare yourself for an exhilarating trail run like no other at the Here’s Johnny 10k RedRun, set in the breathtaking Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. Lace-up your shoes and channel your inner Jack Torrance as you navigate the thrilling course through the dense, mysterious woods of Coler.
 
All racers receive a finisher medal and t-shirt. Awards will be given out to the top overall runners as well as the top 3 in each age group. Costumes are strongly encouraged with special prizes awarded to our favorites.

Best Friends Meet & Match Weekend Adoption Event

October 5
Looking for a new furry best friend or family member? Visit the beautiful Best Friends Pet Resource Center in Bentonville for "Meet and Match Weekends!"
Every Saturday and Sunday, Best Friends invites our NW Arkansas partner shelters and rescues to bring some of the pets in their care to our pet resource center to meet potential adopters from 11 am to 3 pm. These Meet and Match Weekends make it easy for you to meet your new buddy and save a life while doing so.
 
The Best Friends Pet Resource Center is located at 1312 Melissa Drive in Bentonville, Arkansas.

2024 Nabholz Bike & Brew

Bike & Brew is a high energy, next-gen social event for everyone from bike borrower to the aspiring adventureprenuer wishing to make new friends, engage in our community and increase their professional network while enjoying the world-class outdoor amenities NWA has to offer.
 
The event is powered by the Greater Bentonville Area Chamber of Commerce WalStreet Program and is open to all. This is less a ride atmosphere than it is a post-ride atmosphere.

Film Screening: OUTCRY: Alchemists of Rage

This fall, prepare to be captivated by the inaugural KaniniFest! This groundbreaking one-act play festival promises three extraordinary days of immersive performances, exhilarating dance workshops, enchanting drum circles, captivating art installations, and so much more.
 
The festival showcases five exceptional BIPOC playwrights, each presenting their unique one-act plays. While the playwrights hail from various corners of the United States, all directors and actors performing in the festival are talented individuals from the vibrant Northwest Arkansas region.

2024 Strider Adventure Cross Race

October 12
The Adventure-Cross is the ultimate race for 3 to 6-year-olds on their 14x Bike with boundless energy. Run, stride and pedal through an epic course. This is a race of endurance over a long period of time and requires skills a lot like a Cyclocross race! It will be a somewhat challenging race, so please be sure that your racer is up for the challenge!
 
The Adventure-Cross race is broken up into four different classes depending on age - each age class will race separately for four races total.
 
Register now or before October 11 at 11:59 PM CST. No sign-ups will be accepted after the deadline or on race day, so don't wait! Only one racer is allowed to register per form. To register multiple racers, repeat the registration process for each racer.

Second Saturday: Hispanic Heritage Month

Join Crystal Bridges Museum for Second Saturdays, a fun family experience! This month, we are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month by focusing on Latinx artists in the museum’s collection. First, visit the ArtCart to learn more about Cerulean by Carmen Herrera, then visit with community partners, and finally, drop into classrooms Durand & Estes for a themed art-making activity.

Life Time Little Sugar MTB

The Life Time Little Sugar MTB presented by Mazda courses will start in Bentonville and travel north into Bella Vista, traversing the hollers and ravines of Little Sugar and Back 40. You’ll get a firsthand view of the unique bluff lines, caves, waterfalls, and the iconic Ledges in the Ozarks!
 
Don’t be fooled – these trail systems offer grinding climbs that alternate with fasting rolling descents! While you’ll feel like you are in the middle of nowhere you’ll connect to Slaughter Pen as you make your way back home. A world-class urban trail system with clean flow lines, technical rock features, and a view of the picturesque Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

Pedal Kids Race Series- Race 2

Get ready for RACE 2 of the Sixth Annual Pedal Kids Race Series!
 
We’re thrilled to announce that the Pedal Kids Race Series (PKRS) is back for its sixth year, bringing THREE amazing races to Northwest Arkansas this Fall!
 
The SECOND race kicks off on Sunday, October 13 at Osage Park in Bentonville!
 
Every race is an opportunity for your kids to showcase their biking skills, have fun, and win fantastic prizes. Podium prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place riders in each category, and every participant will receive a Pedal Kids Medal and swag bag.
 
Admission: $10 for all Balance Bikers, $20 for all pedaling kids. Register here.

Come see why Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas is being written about in every bike publication. Amazing trails, beautiful downtown, and one of our favorite Outerbike venues.
 
In 2018 Western Spirit Cycling partnered with Visit Bentonville and OZ Trails to provide their first venue east of the Rockies. After that inaugural event they were 100% convinced that it needs to be yearly thing. From the fresh air of the Ozarks to the multiple trail hubs and bike parks, the area has everything they could ask for. The late fall date has some of the nicest riding conditions and a great way to cap off the season. Come see why Bentonville calls itself the Mountain Bike Capital of the World!

Life Time Big Sugar Gravel

October 19
Canopy covered gravel roads will lead you through the remote and rugged highlands of the Ozark Mountains in Northwest Arkansas and Southern Missouri. The courses go along Sugar Creek and through the bluffs and hollers, including picturesque fall foliage painted around you.
 
Expect these to be more challenging courses featuring rarely maintained roads with loose, rocky gravel, a few pavement sections and a few water crossings and bridges. If you like to ride in the dirt, venture off into stunning landscapes and share an experience with fellow cyclists, Life Time Big Sugar Gravel presented by Mazda is a race reserved for you.

Trunk or Treat by Bentonville Girl Scouts

Come join the Bentonville Girl Scouts from 4 to 6 pm for not-so-scary Halloween fun for kids of all ages. Come dressed in your non-scary costume and visit our Trunk or Treat for plenty of fun and candy!

Northwest Arkansas Glow Ride

October 24
Light up the night on October 24 from 6 to 10 pm for a family-friendly, glowing bike ride down the Razorback Greenway in Bentonville!
 
Kick-off your adventure near Lawrence Plaza, cruise through Downtown Bentonville on the Razorback Greenway, and enjoy stops at vendor tents for freebies. Then unwind and enjoy live music, entertainment and outdoor fun! A portion of proceeds support Pedal It Forward, a non-profit dedicated to increasing access to bikes in NWA.
 

 

CRAWL-O-WEEN

Ghoul-friends and Boos alike, get ready for a spooktacular night out in Downtown Bentonville!
 
On October 25, from 5 to 10 pm, join Downtown Bentonville Inc. for a Halloween bar crawl that’s bound to be fang-tastic. Whether you’re a wicked witch, a spooky Dracula, or a silly clown, costumes are highly encouraged—because what’s a Halloween bar crawl without a little scare?
 
Grab your broomsticks, gather your ghostly crew, and prepare to haunt the best bars in town. See you there… if you dare! 👻

Goblin Run 5K

October 26
Calling all ghosts, pirates, divas, ballerinas, and all kinds of characters to join Bentonville Parks and Recreation for the Goblin Run in Downtown Bentonville! 
 
Their annual 5k is a fun and festive race – perfect for the entire family. You don’t want to miss it! The race begins and ends in Downtown Bentonville. 
 
Please note that dogs are not allowed on the race course due to safety concerns.

Pumpkin Shootin' Days (Free to Members)

It’s spooky season and The Quiver Archery Range is bringing out pumpkins for visitors to shoot at on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. You must be 8 years of age or older. Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes to the range and leave any dangling jewelry at home.
 
No refunds will be issued for this purchase unless Peel Compton Foundation cancels the program due to low participation or weather.
