Fall in Bentonville is a vibe—and this season, it’s got a twist. Meet the Gourd Guides: three pumpkin-headed adventurers who’ve carved out the ultimate fall itinerary for anyone visiting Bentonville. Whether you're here for fall break or just chasing cozy vibes, follow their journey through our city's most iconic spots.
☕ First Stop: Airship at the Pumphouse
The Gourd Guides kick off their day with a toast at Airship at the Pumphouse, where the coffee is strong and the atmosphere is even stronger. The Pumphouse is one of five Airships, each with its own unique personality. The Pumphouse, located just off our trail system, sets the tone for a day of exploration.
🥐 Brunch at Maman at CB
Next up, the Guides encounter Maman—a monumental sculpture by artist Louise Bourgeois, crafted from bronze, stainless steel, and marble. Located at the south entrance of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Maman greets visitors arriving via the Art Trail, offering a powerful moment of reflection before the journey continues.
💦 Fountain on the Square
After winding their way through the Art Trail and Crystal Bridges Trail, the Guides make their way toward downtown Bentonville. No visit is complete without a stroll past the Fountain on the Square, where they pause to reflect—and maybe splash a little—surrounded by historic charm and seasonal colors.
🌆 Preacher’s Son + Water Tower
As the sun dips lower, the Guides head to The Preacher’s Son for a golden hour photo op, with the nearby Water Tower casting a dramatic silhouette. Inside, they’re treated to a menu that blends rustic charm with refined flavors—think blackened salmon with beurre blanc or burrata with peach compote and cashew butter. Whether sipping a “Hanami Spring” cocktail or savoring a slice of Swiss roll cake with coffee chocolate mousse, the experience is as artful as the setting itself
🌷 Momentary Tulip Barn
For an after-dinner stroll, the group heads to the Momentary* and the big Red Barn, where the Guides wander through installations and snap selfies. It’s a quirky, colorful stop that blends Bentonville’s creative spirit with fall’s natural beauty.
*Tue-Thu | Sun Hours 10 am - 6 pm, Fri | Sat Hours 10 am - 8 pm | Closed Mondays
🔮 Final Glow: Buckyball
As night falls, the Gourd Guides gather at Buckyball, the glowing sculpture by artist Leo Villareal, that lights up the lawn outside of The Momentary. It’s the perfect finale—illuminated, iconic, and just a little bit magical.
