BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Thousands of people are expected to descend on the Ozarks for the Format music festival.
The festival is scheduled to begin on Sept. 23, 2022, on nearly 300 acres of land at the Sugar Creek Airstrip in Benton County.
FORMAT welcomes a diverse range of globally renowned international and local musicians and artists, alongside emerging talent and a myriad of special performances and surprise acts.
The Flaming Lips, Herbie Hancock and Rüfüs Du Sol are among the scheduled performers.
Nearly a dozen musicians and artists from the area have also signed on to perform at the festival. Ticket information can be found at www.format-festival.com.
"We are merging music, art, and technology together and allowing people to experience it outside of the normal environment that they would in other places. We want to create amazing interactions you can't experience anywhere else. FORMAT will be something really memorable, and we needed a beautiful site for it," Elizabeth Edelman, a co-founder of TRIADIC, told 40/29 News.
