With community at the core of the Bentonville ethos and the Hincapie team’s desire to create the “ultimate road riding experience,” Bentonville’s first-ever road cycling event rolled out the literal red carpet to welcome the all 1,300 participants of the Gran Fondo Hincapie – Bentonville.
“We are an extension of their event and they [The Hincapie Team] are part of our community. This is a joint effort to make an experience for our locals and for our visitors,” said Kalene Griffith, CEO and president of Visit Bentonville.
The Hincapie Gran Fondo is an all-inclusive cycling experience, treating participants like pros but with an emphasis on the experience rather than the race. Riders can take the event as seriously or as casually as they want. They can race the clock and test their power in the speed zones or they can take their time, enjoying the breakfast burritos and Torq performance gels to fuel them to the finish line.
