BENTONVILLE, Ark., June 24, 2024 — The 2024 International Police Mountain Bike Association (IPMBA) conference will take place June 24-29 at Thaden School, located at 800 S.E. C St. in Bentonville, Ark.
"The annual IPMBA conference allows cyclist who are first responders to expand their personal and professional horizons and develop environmentally-friendly patrol procedures that will keep our beloved communities clean and safe,” said Kalene Griffith, CEO and president of Visit Bentonville. “This conference is eagerly awaited each year, and we look forward to welcoming conference guests to Bentonville for the week.”
The comprehensive certificate courses, hosted by the Northwest Arkansas Community College’s Bicycle Technician Lab and Trail Technician program, will provide essential public safety training courses for instructors, maintenance offices, police cyclists, EMS cyclists, security cyclists and police-EMS-security cyclists, respectively. Other offerings include bicycle response team, E-bike and IPMBA instructor development training.
Additionally, IPMBA will hold a series of clinics conducted by mountain bike coaches with Bentonville’s The Ride Series, which boasts the country’s premier rider training program.
The Bentonville Police Department will be heavily involved throughout the conference. In addition to the courses and clinics, the weeklong event will include a product showcase, social activities and recreational rides, ending with a graduation ceremony and awards dinner on June 29.
