Inaugural festival honoring the military community will be July 11-16 

BENTONVILLE, Ark., April 20, 2023 – Bentonville and Northwest Arkansas is gearing up to host Honor Fest, an inaugural celebration that will take place July 11-16, 2023. The festival will honor members of the U.S. military community for their sacrifices and service to the country.

The festival is designed to honor and support veterans, current military, military families, first responders and their communities. 

“Bentonville is the perfect setting to gather the military community for a celebration of honor,” said Kalene Griffith, president and CEO of Visit Bentonville. “We are excited to host multiple days of incredible experiences, including workforce development, service projects, events and family friendly activities.”

The festival will offer a range of interactive activities and entertainment for all ages. Attendees can look forward to guest speakers and opportunities for workforce and entrepreneurship development. A special community service project is also planned, which will take place at Memorial Park. For those looking for some family entertainment, there will be a family fun zone at Compton Gardens, as well as an art exhibition and live music performances.

“Veterans, members of the military, and their families are an integral part of every community,” said Mark Espinoza, Sr. Director of Public Affairs at Walmart. “We are excited to support an event that honors them and provides opportunities for their future in employment and entrepreneurship across Northwest Arkansas.”

Honor Fest is being organized by City of Bentonville, Walmart, J.B. Hunt, Tyson Foods, Inc., Camp Alliance, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance, Merging Vets and Players, , FitOps Foundation, BikeFest, Startup Junkie, and Visit Bentonville.
