Visit Bentonville, the tourism arm of Bentonville, Ark., announces the launch of “Dining Out in Bentonville,” a new podcast aimed at immersing listeners in the city’s culinary scene. The podcast, hosted by OutsideTV’s “The Road Less Eaten” show host Chef Biju Thomas, will release episodes on the first Wednesday of each month.

This video podcast takes you behind the scenes of Bentonville’s vibrant dining culture, from high-end restaurants to must-try street eats. In each episode, chefs are challenged to put their own creative spin on a classic grilled cheese sandwich. Viewers get an inside look at each restaurant, meet the chefs, and walk away with a unique recipe to try at home.

“Northwest Arkansas has become an unpretentious and uncompromising haven for food lovers,” Chef Biju said. “I’m honored to be a part of this world and get to share some of the wonderful places and voices from our city’s culinary scene.”

The lifelong cyclist and professional cook was born in India and previously lived in Boulder, Colo. His light and flavorful cooking style is a favorite among professional athletes, including cycling personalities Andy Hampsten, Davis Phinney, Tejay van Garderen and Cadel Evans. Like many others, Chef Biju’s passion for the outdoors, good conversation and desire for unforgettable eats led him to Bentonville.

“The amount of talented chefs and restaurateurs bringing expertise from across the globe has created something truly special in Bentonville,” Chef Biju said. “Hopefully, our listeners will have the chance to visit their restaurants and try the dishes we’ll be featuring on the podcast.”

Chef Biju is the co-author of “The Feed Zone Cookbook” and his time hosting “The Road Less Eaten” took him across the nation in search of authentic food experiences. In 2012, Biju helped launch the sports hydration company Skratch Labs, and served as head chef of Team BMC, a CCC Pro Team. He opened his first restaurant, Biju’s Little Curry Shop, in 2014 and later partnered with Whole Foods, bringing his cuisine to pop-up counters inside several stores.

“We couldn’t be more excited to collaborate on 'Dining Out in Bentonville' with Biju," said Visit Bentonville CEO Kalene Griffith. “The energy and passion he’s bringing to this project is infectious, and our listeners are going to love the inside look at our city’s culinary scene.”
