Cycling tool and repair stand startup Altangle Cycling LLC of Houston has announced that it's relocating to Bentonville, the latest bike business that sees northwest Arkansas as the industry's new U.S. epicenter.
The company, founded in September 2021, said it plans to scale business operations in the region and hire for a variety of positions in marketing, sales and product development.
Squires Smith and his brother Scott are the company's founders and co-owners. They made the decision to relocate after Squires participated in Bentonville's Rule of Three race while visiting the region to find new product dealers.
"Bentonville is not only building miles of interconnected mountain bike and gravel trails but also a thriving business community with numerous state and private organizations geared towards supporting startups," Squires Smith said in a news release. "It's clear that the region is intentionally developing both the culture and resources required to support companies in every stage of the life cycle."
The company said the Runway Group, OZ Trails Northwest Arkansas, Plug & Play Northwest Arkansas, the Arkansas Office of Outdoor Recreation, The Collaborative and Startup Junkie were key factors in the move to northwest Arkansas.
