The Adventure Race World Series unites the world’s best endurance athletes to challenge their physical, mental, and emotional limits at premiere qualifier events in the most beautiful places around the globe. After scouting out the Northwest Arkansas region, CEO of ARWS and native to Johannesburg, South Africa, Heidi Muller got to experience the incredible beauty of the Ozarks’ backcountry and knew this was what the ARWS was looking for. The Adventure Race World Series recently announced the addition of Expedition Ozark to the ARWS race roster for 2023.
The ARWS World Circuit races take place in eleven different countries around the world. With just four held in North America, Visit Bentonville is thrilled to help Expedition Ozark showcase the breathtaking beauty of Northwest Arkansas and host the world’s best adventure racing teams in Bentonville - home to the best mountain bike single track in North America.
Ozark Outdoor Foundation is a charitable nonprofit focused on creating fun and enriching outdoor experiences in Northwest Arkansas that elevate the region as a better place to work, live and play. Expedition Ozark is the Ozark Outdoor Foundation’s next bid to put Northwest Arkansas on the map!
